Looks like something I might get for my brother-in-law for Christmas and smells like something I want for myself for Christmas, but how does it taste? In a word, refined. But there's more to it than mere refinement. Very approachable, this bourbon sibling to this recently-reviewed rye starts out mellow and the excitement builds from there. The soft mid-palate expands dramatically and with bright, citrus-powered spiciness as the flavors soar and echo for a long, thrill ride of a finish along which dried orange peel rides shotgun to vanilla. Unexpectedly exciting and complex. Don't let the label fool you, there's some serious wonder under this cork! 92 Points. (Sample)
