2018 Domaine Bousquet Gran Malbec Tupungato $25
A deep, inky garnet in the glass, the aromas are dusty and subdued at first, but one sip is all it takes to reveal this wine's brilliance. Elegant, muscular black fruit sings with clarity and fortitude, and is framed by sophisticated floral notes and mineral grace. Finishes with a French oak kiss and a beckoning call for more. A malbec for old-school cabernet lovers who have more of an appetite for high-end quality than hefty price tags. Refined and expensive tasting, it's also got all the signs of being age-worthy.
